We are seeking an experienced Accounting & Credit Manager to lead our local accounting activities, ensure compliance with Dutch statutory requirements, and drive continuous improvement across accounting and credit management processes.This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance leader with strong accounting expertise, audit experience, and a passion for developing people and improving ways of working.Your main tasks and responsibilities:Accounting LeadershipAct as the primary contact for local Accounting teams, Finance Shared Services, and external Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) providersLead, coach, and develop the Netherlands Accounting team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high performanceWork closely with the Country Head of Finance to provide direction, structure, and support to local accounting operationsOversee month-end close activities, reconciliations, financial reporting, intercompany transactions, and recharges, ensuring timely and accurate deliveryEnsure compliance with Dutch accounting regulations, statutory reporting requirements, and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)Manage internal and external audits and coordinate with auditors to ensure successful audit completion with minimal adjustmentsEnsure timely submission of statutory financial statements and tax filings in collaboration with Group TaxSupport Group Treasury with hedging-related financial information and reporting requirementsMonitor accounting performance through KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiativesIdentify opportunities for standardization, optimization, and automation of accounting processesStrengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with governance requirements, including segregation of duties (SoD)Collaborate with Accounting Centres of Excellence, Finance teams, Sales, Customer Service, and other stakeholders to improve end-to-end finance processesCredit ManagementIn addition to accounting leadership responsibilities, you will manage the Cluster Credit Control function by:Supporting the development and implementation of effective credit control procedures aligned with Group policiesPartnering with Credit & Collection teams to assess customer creditworthiness and evaluate credit applicationsOverseeing customer risk assessments through financial statement reviews, credit reports, and payment history analysisMonitoring customer credit exposure and recommending actions to minimise risk while supporting business growthWorking closely with Credit & Collections teams, Sales, Project Managers, and Customer Service to resolve credit issues and optimise cash collection performanceTo succeed in this role, you will need:University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related disciplineMinimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership positionStrong knowledge of Dutch accounting standards, statutory requirements, and local compliance obligationsExperience managing audits, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance activitiesBig Four audit background would be highly advantageousExperience within manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments is preferredStrong understanding of Accounting processes, including Record-to-Report (RTR), Order-to-Cash (OTC), and Procure-to-Pay (PTP)Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skillsA proactive, hands-on mindset with a strong focus on quality, structure, and continuous improvementExperience with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skillsExperience with Tagetik and Qlik Sense is an advantageFluent Dutch and English language skillsWhy join us?This role offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact by enhancing structure, strengthening compliance, supporting statutory and internal audits, and developing a highly effective accounting team.
