What you’ll do in your role as Continuous Improvement Manager Europe
This is a newly created role within A-Gas Europe, which will take you to our sites in the Netherlands, Germany and Italy. Within this role you will provide leadership in Continuous Improvement, Lean management and Operational Excellence techniques, contributing to and rolling out the A-Gas Group’s improvement program. Working as a change agent, you’ll be guiding the region to instill Lean and Operational excellence as part of its culture. Ensuring that improvement activities deliver value to the business, the staff and ultimately the customer. Throughout the program, you will work to keep A-Gas on its path to be a safe and sustainable leader in its field. The development of better efficient ways of working continues to support our ambition to lead the market. This position will report to the European Managing Director and coordinate directly with the A-Gas Group Business Excellence team.
Your day to day responsibilities will be:
Develop and implement a strategic plan for continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead the staff at each site in their Operational excellence journey, through coaching, training and project delivery
Bring teams together to analyse existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
Optimize processes through redesign, waste elimination, and workflow streamlining
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements and foster a culture of continuous learning.
Establish performance indicators and measurement methods to assess the impact of improvement initiatives.
Provide regular progress reports to management and recommend adjustments to the improvement plan.
Facilitate change management and address potential resistance within the organization.

Who you are
You have a proven track record on Continuous Improvement Leadership experience, where you have implemented improvements and drove change and training programs. You’re used to working in a dynamic working environment and are able to get the job done. In order to do so, you know how take get stakeholders aboard.
Ideally you are Lean 6Sigma Black belt qualified (or similar) and are a Practitioner of such Lean management and Operational Excellence methodologies to help drive a high performance culture. You have obtained this by hands-on experience, using Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement methods.
Whilst you prefer to plan and organises work effectively, structure and schedule your tasks appropriately, you are also very comfortable leading people through change. Getting people on side and explaining concepts in simple language is what you do best.
You’re able to analyse problems and implement effective solutions. You’re able to make effective decisions, seeking advice when required, able to appreciate different perspectives and the wider business implications

Essential
2+ years proven hands on Continuous Improvement leadership experience
You are both Fluent in English and Dutch / German
5+ years Industrial leadership experience of complex operational environments
Lean 6Sigma Black belt qualified/Practitioner of 6S methodology & culture
Hands-on experience using Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement methods (LEAN, TPM, Six Sigma) required
Experience with ISO9001 required and ISO14000 preferred
Proven leadership skills to coach and lead teams to fully deliver chartered objectives and projects that drive continuous improvement.
Excellent verbal, written, listening, and presentation skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships and influence others without authority.
Must have excellent project management skills.
Desirable
Experience of production management or supervision
Degree qualified in technical discipline
Master Black belt 6Sigma qualified
IOSH managing safety or equivalent
